From my series of tumbleweeds. I love these plants, especially the notion that they have multiple lives. First as growing, leafy, live plants; then their skeletons tumbling along in the wind. I’m a staunch believer in lifelong learning and personal development, and tumbleweeds are a great metaphor for this.

We don’t have tumbleweeds where I live, but I’ve had the pleasure of seeing them during long road trips across the country.
