2014. Glass, found cutting board.

These little melons are made in one of my favorite glass colors, Goldenrod. I’ve spent lots of time in grocery stores looking at produce, then figuring out how to make it in glass.

The details on this piece are gorgeous. Early in my glass sculpture making, I spent a great deal of time and attention developing my techniques for coloring the glass to achieve an organic appearance, which I became known for. The leaves and fruits on this piece are beautifully colored.
